Cagiva designe r Massimo Tamburini has wrapped the fuel-injected 16-valve motor in an advanced versio n of a Segale-type modular chassis, with a tubular- steel upper spacefram e mated to cast-magnes ium uprights combining the lower engine mounts and the pivot for the sing le-sid ed swi ngarm . Th en Tambu rin i encl ose d th e wh ol e structure in tigh t-fitting ultra-distinctive bodywork, painted red and silver like the generations of MV Agusta GP racers that won 75 World Cha m pionships and 270 Gra nd s Prix over a quarter of a century of competition.
