Bloom. Kiel Mattso n a nd Joe l Plitt. W in s low
took advantage of an o pe n track and immediately put two seco nds b e twe e n h im self and
M yhren . Co m ing u n der a tt a ck fro m Bloom,
Myhren turned up the wick after the seco nd la p,
creating a coaUo rta ble cushio n w hile dosing th e
ga p o n Winslo w . Lap fou r saw Myhren close to
w it hi n s t ri k in g d is ta n ce of Win s low.. while
Bloom had co me under atta ck fro m Mattson.
C ha rg in g d ow n Pe rri s Rac e wa y ' s fa st back
stra ight. Myhren would sta y on the ga s a little
longer to get around Win slo w for th e firs t·placc
position. Mattson's la p-five a ttemp t for th ird
wa s interrupted a s a d owned rider tucked in
between Mattson a nd Bloom. allowing Bloom
the required brea thi ng room to hold o n to the
position all th e w ay to the check ered . Myhren
would hold on to take th e first -mo to win, with
Wins low in tow.
