Iter KTM bought H usaberg in
1996, Husaberg's entire lineup
was revamped and redesigned
for the 1997 season. New fram es,
new suspension components and , most
importan tly, new en gines fea tu ring a
counterbalancer and a new oil-pump
a nd oil-filter assembly were among the
major cha nges. So for 1998, it was only
log ical for Husaberg to "massage" its
lineup with small mechanical and d etail
changes aimed a t making th e ' Berg's
more reliable and tidy.
Reacting to the recent increase in the
popu larity of four-stroke motocrossers,
Hu sab erg w ill be offe ri ng thre e
m otocr oss (FC ) models fo r '98 . Th e
FC501 is now joined by the FC400 and
FC600 motocross models. Hu saberg will
also be offering a legal-in-50-states du al
sport mod el - featuring the Qwik Silver
II carburetor that is also used on the
