Practice was a little sloppy, but for the second motos the Williams-built circuit stayed in fair shape. Competition was stiff, but double class wins were still possible. Jake GriffJS, 50cc (7-8) and 65cc (7-9); Donald McGourty, 80cc Modified (9-13) and 80cc Stock (12-13); Team Green's oshua Summey, 80cc (12-13) and Super Mini; and Kevin Blalock, 25+ C and Unlimited C/O !",ch grabbed two victories. There were even two triple winners: Tyson Hadsell won the 80cc Stocl< (14-15), 80cc Modified (14-15) and 125cc Stock (12-15) classes, while Team Green's Shae Bentley took top honors in the uSec A Stocl<, 250cc A Stock and 250cc A Modified divisions. Probably the best example of the whole day's racing. came in the second round of the 250cc A Modified class. On the start, Bentley and Jim Chester went for the same line and were so close that Bentley could have worked Chester's clutch while Chester twisted Bentley's throttle. Bentle.y outbraked Chester in the first tum and disallowed any passes - difficult at best when you're up against Chester. In spite of intense pressure from Chester, Walker, Billy Dies and young lion Jon Boruff, Bentley crossed the finish line first to take the overall win. Chester and Walker traded mota wins in the 25+ A class, with Chester coming out on top by way of the second-moto victory.
