FAlX (770) 934-3112 e-mail editor@cyclenews.com subscribe@cyclenews.com In response to the letter "Show me the money" from the Voices column Gssue #13, April 2), I am even more concerl\ed about ASB's policy because I competed in the ASB Harley-Davidson Twin Sports and Buell Championship Series. I agree that Eric Bostrom rode well enough to win the race despite the horsepower infraction, but the rules must be obeyed by all participants. The disqualification to Bostrom should not be partial- it should be complete. In my past racing season in AMA competition, when a rider was disqualified they were removed from that race no points, no money, no trophy. The other competitors then move up in position accordingly. I would guess that the AMA policy sits best with all other competitors. After finishing fifth at Willow Springs, I feel that the NASB rule is penalizing me by two fewer points, less purse money, and less contingency money. Championsllips are often decided by one or two points. I would hope that NASB would review their policy and bring fairness to fu ture a tional road racing events.
