Ingrande sweeps Sarona Oaks MX By Homer Eubanks RAMONA, CA, MAR. 2 Angelo Ingrande rode home the big winner at the Barona Oaks California Mini Motorcycle Club motocross season opener by winning both the 125 and 250cc Pro classes in Ramona, California, March 2. Sarona Oaks Raceway began its 24th consf'cutive year of motocross action with 182 riders igned up in 32 separate classes. Jesus Camillas was also a repeat winner and went home the big winner in both the Supermini and 80cc Expert classes. A newly formed Women's clilSS WilS won by Jennifer Nelson. Ryan Beat proved he was the one to beat in the 60 and BOcc Stock 9- to 11-year-old classes. Clinton Pierce won the fir t 80cc Stock (9-11) moto with Beat following. In the next moto the positions got turned around with Beat taking the overall win, In the 125cc 16- to 21-year-old action Shawn ElUs left the competition in his dust in race one but didn't make the second mota. Manny Arias had finished second in round one ahead of Michael Fox. in mota two Fox took advantage of Ellis absence and stole the lime- light from Arias early on. Arias trailed Matt Williams across the finish line for third butt earned second for the day. rt was anyone's race in the Old Pharts B 35to 39-year-old class. In the first moto George Speck jumped off the line first with Bill Keefe holding second. Keefe dogged Speck throughout the moto but. had to settle for second. Keefe learned a lot from mota one, jumped out early in the second round and took the overall win. This time out it was Speck doing the trailing, having to settle for second on the day.
