, Oregon's Ryan Leach put his Suzuki at the front of the pack in the first 250cc Pro moto, but got serious challenges from the Yamahas of Hagseth and Whipple throughout the race. While Leach took a triumphant moto victory, his chances for an overall win ended shortly after the first tum in the second molo. Both Whipple and Hagseth relegated Leach to third after tum two, setting up what was most likely the day's best battle. Hagseth loomed in Whipple's shadow for the entire moto, doing all he could to nab the crucial number.-one spot, a position Hagseth. drastically needed to net the overall win. Whipple, though, rode a flawless race, slamming the door shut on each of Hagseth's advances. Further back, Leach and KTM-supported Scott Steffy swapped positions in a thirdplace battle. Hagseth made one last-ditch attempt to take away Whipple's lead, but instead ended up taking a soil sample at the finish. Whipple went 3-1 to beat Hagseth (2-2) for the overall win. Leach (1-3), Steffy (4-4) and Rod Tapia (5-5) filled out the top five overall. Results P!W (4-6): 1. Walker Wilkerson CLEM); 2. Jared Wood (KTM); 3. Danny Gubser (KTM); 4. Tyler Tapia (LEM); S. Within half a lap on the twisty Saddle Glen course, Raymond Smith had already made his way up into second place with Chaz Smith holding off a hard-eharging Brent Gilliam in third. Three laps into the race, Raymond Smith was all over Tittlemier looking for a place to pass. Smith kept the throttle pinned down a fast, choppy straight to grab the lead as the two Sign up today!
