hat a difference a year
makes. For the fourth time
in six AMA 250~c Supercross rounds, a new winner
was crowned, this time at
Atlanta's Georgia Dome.
Joining this year's list of new winners
was Team Kawasaki's Damon Huffman,
who walked to the center of the victory
podium after leading every inch of the
20-lap main event.
The race marked the first time in his
career that the highly tout~d Huffman
has won the premier class of an AMA
Supercross event, and the second .time
this year a first-time winner has
emerged.
"It's finally all coming together for
me," said the 21-year-old Huffman, who
shared the Atlanta glory with his
mechanic Brian Lunniss. "I've been
working really hard to get back to
where I was last year before my injury
