other races this year, Dana Wright was on his tail. The two riders kept the same pace for the entire race, and it wasn't until the fmallap that Koontz put a few secQnds on his tiring rival. Koontz and his WR250 led Wright to the finish line with a time of 115 minutes.. Ray Jennings was close until some midrace crashes took him off the pace, earning him third, six minutes behind Wright. Rick Haley rode alone in fourth the whole race while Sam Baker rounded out the top five. Adam Little and his KX80 topped the 19rider Mini Amateur field. The win was Little's fourth of the year. Gecff Speed kept it close as the two completed two circuits around Fort Hood in 53 minutes. Jeremy Johnston finished two minutes behind the lead duo in third. Clay Hoenshell pulled down the Pro-class cash by edging out Donnie McMillon. Hoenshell, now on a Kawasaki after starting out on a Suzuki and then switching tQ KTM in midyear, proved that the bike brand does not matter to hiJ;n. McMillon broke up a Kawasaki sweep of the top five by placing his KTM in second. He finished on the same minute as Hoenshelt but was never close enough to challenge for the lead. Tracy Anders holeshot and led for a lap before fading back to fifth on the third lap. Todd Tarver and ISDE veteran Brian Storrie £Wed in third and fourth about a minute off the leader's pace. c:N Results AA 250+: 1. David Culpepper (Suz~ 2 Tom Robinson (Suz); 3. Scott FOSler (Yam); 4.
