Hawk were next to finish off the second lap, and the three were still all hanging tightly together. "We had a good race - me, Garrahan and Mashbir," Hawk reported, "The whole race the three of us were just back and forth. It was a good, clean .race. On the motocross section, we were all about the same speed, so whatever order we came out on the track we left it in the same order. I think in the tight stuff, that was where I was able to pull some time on them, but in the open stuff they were definitely pulling on me." The end of the fourth lap found Plessinger and Hatch still out in front and continuously swapping the lead back and forth. The pair also had whipped up the pace and Dahners in third now sat almost a minute behind the duo. Garrahan, Mashbir and Hawk also came through the scoring chute in thoe same tight formation, but for Garrahan the fifth lap would see him make a costly error which not only cost him fifth in the race, but fifth overall in the series as well. Garrahan and Mashbir only had a handful of points separating the two going into Ohio, and whichever rider came out ahead at the end also would settle the issue for fifth overall for the season. "Garrahan and I went back and forth at least a dozen times but the final call for Brian was this drop-off ledge section," Mashbir said. "We had all been doing it, but on the fourth lap I almost didn't make it, so I decided not to do it on the fifth lap. There was a line around it and it was a bit slower but it was the safer bet as there was a huge hole now at the bottom of the drop-off. "Well, Brian decidee 0' ail (Yam); 4. Blai' Bersaoo (KTM); 5.
