The third Harley-Davidson Twin Sports World Final and a pair of 50-mile races to decide the NASB Sunoco Race Fuels Formula USA Championship highlight the NASB pro portion of the' program while 33 CCS titles also will be decided over the weekend. AMA 125cc National Motocross Cham-pion Steve Lamson will race in the Hamel 100, the $5,000 Pro purse race on November 10 during the Elsinore Grand Prix in Elsinore, California. According to GFI, the cl osed -course track which will be used for the upcoming Elsinore Grand Prix is not your typical Grand Prix track. Australian Superbike National Champion Peter Goddard will replace the stillinjured Daryl Beattie on the Lucky Strike Suzuki team for the upcoming Australian Grand Prix on October 20. Goddard, who also had a full season on a Lucky Strike Suzuki RGv500 in Japan in 1993, won the Australian Superbike title on a Suzuki GSXR750. Beattie's' return has been thwarted by a bad wrist, for which he will unCiergo surgery shortly. "I was really thrilled when I got the call to take over Daryl's bike," Goddard said. Pinsonnault takes fourth straight title T hree-time and defending 540cc National Hillclimb Champion Paul Pinsonnault wrapped up his fourth straight championship at the final round of the AMA National Championship Hillclimb series in Oregonia, Ohio, October 13, tying the legendary Earl Bowlby's record for consecutive titles. Pinsonnault's second place behind sometime 1996 comp'etitor Richard Soter Ill's nitro-fueled BSA was enough to clinch the championship and capped off an exCiting season that featured many new faces in the winner's circle. All-Star invitational winner, BSA-mounted Terry Thompson, had a strong finish to .his season with a third place on the day. Pinsonnault's main championship rival, David Watson, finished sixth and ended the season 12 points adrift of Pinsonnault's 135.
