corner. Kehoe pulled a quic~ one on Franco right before the white-flag lap by faking a move to the right and darting back to the left to ride by Franco over the quad jump. At the finish line, Kehoe took first with Franco claiming the runner-up position. In moto two, Franco again rocketed off the line to nab the holeshot. Kehoe again was napping on the starting line and rounded the first turn dead last. Kehoe made quick work of the other riders and was within striking distance of Franco by the end of lap two. Kehoe finally got the best of Franco by diving to the inside after the whoop section and motored on for the win. Results P/W: 1. Scott Decosle (1crM). 60 (4-8); 1. Tate Misiasuk (Kaw). 60(9-11): I. The event drew 217 rider entries from various states, with sponsors providing products and gift certificates to the top 10 finishers in each class. . Scott Steinle put the power of his open bike to use, grabbing the holeshot in the first Over 25 Expert moto, but was soon displaced by KTM-backed Bowen. Andy Stacy put on a clinic while carving through riders hom midpack to second, but he couldn't overcome Bowen's blistering pace. Steinle took third, followed by Jim Randa. Larson Cycles-sponsored Steinle holeshot the second moto, followed by Bowen, Mark Wright, Jim Randa and Nafzger. Once again TUF Racing's Stacy was mired in midpack, a carbon copy of moto one. Stacy worked his way toward the front, taking second to Bowen, with Wright holding on for a strong third and Steinle in fourth. MX-Tech-backed Andrew Bussen took the overall win in the Over 25 Intermediate class, splitting moto wins with Mike Vlasic of Dlinois. Bill Dennis swept the first Over 30 Intermediate class, and Roger Kramer's 3-1 finishes edged out Bob Westergaard's 2-2 for the overall in the second group. Local rider Tom McShane took the overall Over 35 win, followed by MKA's Brad Nordlof. Gregg Henkel's pass on McShane !lver the finish-line tunnel jump for the lead and the win in the second moto appeared to defy age and physics. However, Henkel's poor first-moto finish kept him out of contention in the overall standings. Sportcycles Suzuki-backed Larry Witmer of Indiana won both motos in the Over 40 Expert class. Robert Sweeney came from behind to win both motos of the Over 50 Expert class, while Ronald George and Larry Stewart swapped second and third positions.
