NAUGHTY, NAUGHTY MOOSE We were very excited to hear that Regina might have a product that would help keep our large, unruly pet under control. Then we heard that the GPXV Moose Chain was actually designed for motocross bikes. We're excited about that, too, but it won't keep Elmer from stripping all the bark off our pine trees. The chain is said to be hand-made with close tolerances to give the chain greater tensile strength. As a non-o-ring chain, it is said to offer less drag and more power to the ground, while lasting 3-4 times longer than a standard chain. We are told that inside the chain are incredibly strong heat-treated pins m~de ftOm a high-carbon alloy. A patented injection system is used to force grease into every clearance during the manufacturing process. Shot-peened solid rollers are said to mcrease the sprocket life and act as shock absorbers, and extended bushings are supposed to eliminate kinking. Shot-peened steel-alloy side plates are reported to offer an a verage tensile strength of 7870 pounds. Suggested retail prices are $76.95 for a 114-link chain, $78.95 for 116 links, $80.95 for 120 links. Connecting links are available for $4.25 each. For more information, contact Regina USA, Dept. CN, 401 Academy St., Cambridge, MD 21613, 410/222800. The front tire also features an all-new design developed for better traction in curves and turns.
