·ENDURO Enduro Series Final Round: Germany World Championship ed he would), the remaining three champions were totally unexpected. The winner of the World 125cc ChampionShip was little-known Italian Fausto Scovolo, who gave Honda its first world enduro title. And 500cc-dass winner Jansson was not even recognized in his own country. "He must have improved a lot, he is not consistent enough," said Sweden's Sven-Erik Jonsson, a former world enduro champion, moments after Jansson was crowned. Added to Edmonson's seemingly difficult task was the fact that the machine he would be riding, a Spanishbuilt Gas Gas, was only in its second year of competition. In the previous season, Edmonson could not even get a day win, let alone thinking about a champiqnship.
