It was a grueling six-month test of speed, strength
and endurance. And when the dust settled, Team
Kawasaki's Jeff Emig stood victorious. He had
beaten out the competition to claim the 250cc
AMA National Motocross Championship.
It was all-or-nothing for Emig and the incumbent·
champion as they took their places at the gate at
the Steel City Racetrack in Delmont, Pennsylvania
