Finishing a distant third was Bartels
rider Johnny Murphree, an IS-year-old
Californian who has continued to show
improvement on the 883 with each ride.
Murphree put away the likes of Georgie
Price IV, Paul Morgan ill and Jay Springsteen to land the third position and his
first National podium appearance.
"Wow," Murphree said. "I've been
waiting for this day for a long time.
We've got a lot of the bugs worked out
of my program now, and I'm just happy
to be making forward progress. I'm
ready to start winning races now."
