Lawrence, Button, Lewis, McGrath,
Hughes, Albertyn, Taylor and Crine was
in 10th.
.
On lap three, Lawrence moved by
Henry to take third in the back section
and Hughes got around McGrath to
steal fourth. Hughes just kept right on
charging to depose Henry from third on
lap four and McGrath did the same to
Henry onJap six to take fourth.
By lap seven, the top three in the order
was set to the finish as £mig, Hughes and
Lawrence had their Kawasakis lodged in
first through third in that order. About 10
seconds back was a battling crew of Button and Albertyn, who had gotten by
McGrath, Lewis and LaRocco. Henry had.
faded back to ninth by now and Taylor
was holding on to 10th.
Ward moved into the top 10 on lap
eight, but would retire a few laps later
for unknown reasons. Battles raged
between the riders in fourth through
ninth for several laps, and Albertyn
moved around Button on lap 13 to take
fourth where he would stay through the
finish of the moto.
The top 10 began to spread out on
lap 14 and would keep spreading until
the finish. Swink moved past Taylor on
lap 15 and got Palmer on the final lap to
take eighth. Emig took the win with
about 15 seconds over Hughes in second, who had put about 10 seconds on
Lawrence. This was also the overall
order for the day. Albertyn came in
fourth with Button, Lewis, McGrath,
Swink, Palmer and Taylor making it
across the line in 10th.
