The second molD appeared ID be a carboncopy of the first, with Loire and Geilenfeldt setting a blistering pace, and the same riders battling for the bronze. Hoffman finished third on the podium for the molD and ovetaIl, followed by Chad Early and a calSistent Jackson. • To no one's surprise, Torque Center/Sportland 2/Silkolene-backed Eron Ezerins holeshot and led both motos of the 125ccA class from start to finish, coming off of a good performance at the Red Bud National in Michigan the prior weekend. Daniel Heidle and Young America/Torque Center-<;ponsored Jason Warner both had moto totals of six, with Heidle having the beller second-moto finish and overall runner-up position. Young America/Team 2 rider Ryan DeGroot was running in second during the first moto with Ezerins in his sights, until exiting with mechanical problems. Kawasaki rider Chet Hodges' impressive second-place finish in the first moto was offset by a lackluster seventh in moto two, only good enough for fourth overall. Results . P/W )IC I. Pellett MILLFIELD, OH, JUNE 29-30 Nine-year-old Michael Willard completely dominated the 65cc (7-9) division at this Loretta Lynn's Regional Qualifier, sweeping three straight motos on his way ID the overall win. Over 400 riders turned out at this south central Ohio motocross course, and 85-degree weather was tamed with a brisk wind the entire weekend, which made conditions bearable. Track owner Jeff Russell applied massive amounts of water, and dust was never a concern, even with the large turnout and warm temperatures. In the first 65 (7-9) moto, Willard quickly established his presence by jumping out to an early lead, leaving a fieee battle behind him involVing D.R. Atwood and Kyle Preston. Willard would eventually acquire a massive lead at the end, leaving the field to finish the race as he enjoyed a cool drink. The second moto saw Willard experience a poor start, and Michigan's Josh Lichtle got himseU a small lead before Willard woke up, attacked the track, stole the lead and ultimately stormed away for the win. The third and final moto on Sunday afternoon was all Willard as he charged to the checkers once again, easily posting the overall and earning his ticket to Tennessee. The a1ways-competitive 51cc (7.,ll) class was a virtual Cobra-fest, as over 30 of the 44 entered machines were yellow bikes, and the Ohio-made rockets were offered no competition from the seemingly underpowered opposition. New York's Jay Welle.r was the man to beat in this class, as he pushed his venomous Cobra to two wins and a second place, clinching the overall, which means a third trip to the Nationals for this youngster from the Empire State. Former Canadian, now Georgia resident Derrick Fisher was unstoppable in the 85cc Stock (7-11) division, as he won handily on his Suzuki, beating the likes of fellow SuzuJti pilots Mall Barnes and Anthony Weber. The 85cc Modified (9-13) class belonged to Team Green's Jeff Gibson, as the Westerville, Ohio, native simply mastered the 1.2-mile circuit to take the overall. Q Results 51 (U~ I. B........
