Foreman of Montgomery, Alabama, (Issue #26, July 3), Boss Hogg is from "The Dukes of Hazzard." The Boss Hoss is the correct name. You're right about Honda and the Valkyrie, it's not the biggest on two • wheels - 1520 vs 5800cc, it's not even close. What about the old Indian 2000cc? You're right about something else as well - stick to lightweights. I'd .also like to thank you for the Dirt Track Spedal Issue (#23, June 12). It was very informative. My prediction as the series heats up is (barring injuries) • Parker, Davis and King in a battle to the end. Go, Rich! Robert Noothnagel Charles City, lA They're baaack! Russell fourth, K.R. Jr. fifth, Hale fifth, Edwards sixth, Kidcinski seventh. Separate races, but all promising results for the Americans. They're baaaack... Someone please do Erv Kanemoto a big favor and ride his bike. MikePanelo Santa Oara, CA LlIea Cadalora didn't do a bad job this past weekend, riding the Kanemoto Honda to victory in the German Grand Prix... Editor. The Deuce I'm about to give up on ESPN2. I thought the racing coverage would be better with less stick and ball. I guess I was wrong because they still can't get anything on schedule. I think I'm going to drop them just to cut down on my aggravation level. I think Cycle News shoutd stop running their advertise- ments, too. The times listed are wrong more than they are right. Maybe I should just forget about following racing and reading about stuff and just go riding. Paul Steinbacher MCPaulS@aol.com Thanks We would like to take the time to thank Chris Wallwork, the promoter of the Wild West Nationals for bring such a fun environment to the sport of motocross. We wold also like to thank Larry Jackson, of the Owhee Motorcycle Park in Boise, Idaho, for organizing the fourth round of this series. It is this atmosphere that reminds uS of what motocross is: great tracks, hard racing, many race fans, thoughtfUl and friendly people, and the fun that motocross is. Larry, his sister Nicole, his roommates Stew, Bodi and Russ were all too friendly. They loaned us bikes, gave us their beds, fed us, and showed us a fun weekend in Boise. Even though Denny broke his collarbone, he stated: "This has been the best weekend of racing I've had in a long time." To everybody who works, races, or spectates at the Wild West ationals, thank you. AJso, Denny would like to thank Rodney Reynolds of Western Power Sports for loaning him his YZ250 at the last minute and Erick would like to thank Gary at Layton Yamaha.
