the company. Darling is best known for
his racing endeavors in the 1950s and
'60s on BSAs and Hondas. Darling is
now living in Rathdrum, Idaho.
Mikuni's Fast Dates calendar models
will be the official World Superbike trophy girls at the upcoming round of the
World Superbike Championship at
Laguna Seca Raceway on July 19-21. The
girls will attend press and fan functions,
and will escort the factory riders to the
starting line as well as presenting the
winners with their trophies on the victory podium and accompanying them on
their victory parade lap. The models
will also use the weekend to shoot with
photographer Jim Gianatsis and the
World Superbike teams for next year's
Fast Dates calendar. The models will
also be autographing calendars at the
Fan Party which will take place at the
Doubletree Hotel on Friday night, July
19 and at the Laguna Seca souvenir
store on Saturday, July 20 from 11:30
a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, July 21 from
10:30 a.m. tQ noon.

Road racer Matt Wait has been disqualified from his victory in the Progressive
Insurance Harley-Davidson TwinSport
Series round at the New Hampshire
International Speedway on June 16 for
illegal cylinder-head modifications.
Wait was earlier disqualified for a similar infractiQn at the Mid-Ohio round of
the series on June 2. The two penalties
drop Wait to seventh in the series standings. Ben BQstrom, the winner of three
events, has a 37-point lead over Wait's
younger brother, Nate, with four rounds
remaining.
