got the overall win. Sprague, who rode a 1969 Bul taco EI Bandito, won the ffitermediate portion. The only competition Hart had all day long was in the first 125cc Expert moto. Hart spent the entire race mixing it up with another modern-day pro, David Germain, who chased Hart down and beat him to the finish for his only moto loss of the day. Hart was long gone in moto two and Germain could only watch from a distance as Hart nabbed the overall win. In the combined Intermediate portion, LaFaye McCarver used 3-1 placings to beat Can-Am rider Chris Castles and Honda-mounted Jeff Gleason for the win. Steve ~auffman, who had a good day by winning the 125cc Amateur class, also won the 500cc Sportsman Amateur class aboard a CZ. Utah's Robert Borg prevailed in the Classic 125ec ffitermediate class but had tough competition from Sprague in both motos. While Sprague adapted better to moto one's mud fest, Borg's CZ prevailed in moto two for the overall win. Third went to Rickman rider John Guiliford, while Scott Fisher and Erik Giertsen filled the top five. The final race of the day was the 30+ Expert class. Insane airtime was evident throughout both motos of this class, logged mostly by Hart and the originator of the act, Nyblod, both of whom. soared to new heights off of the suspension-shattering, high-speed back-stretch jump. While Hart won the moto, Casey collected second ahead .of Price, Carter and Nyblod. Nyblod's best finish came in moto two as he chased Hart to the finish to grab second overall. ''I'm happy with second," said Nyblod, who for several years enjoyed the same success that Hart is maintaining. "I had a couple of good motos. Any time you can finish second to Grayson, that's a good day." Carter trailed Nyblod for third followed by Price, who moved up a notch on the last lap when Casey broke a footpeg and called it quits. ''I'm bummed," said Casey. "I've ridden hard all year for this one race and first it was the hand and now this." Hart's sweep of the class capped off his three-class win tally in which he went five for six in motes entered. In the combined 250cc Intermediate class, Keith Webster used consistent 2-1 showings to take the overall ahead of Bob McDaniels: Ossa rider Rick Ball won the second moto, but a first-moto, crash-induced DNF put him out of the picture. Janet Borg also brought home a firstplace finish to Logan, Utah, after a win in the Women's class. Ellen Voermans was closest to Borg, netting second. Cathy Robarge, Debbie Weller and Linda Ziegler filled the top five. CN Eugene Motocross Park Eugene, Oregon Results: June 23, 1996 (Round 4 of 7) OPEN EX, 1. Bill Row (CZ); 2. Greg Carter (Mai); 3.
