See the 1996 Models at these Kawasaki Dealers Following in the path of class-eonquering introductions li~e the ZX-9R and the more recent ZX6R, Kawasaki boldly takes control of the 750cc category with the debut of the Ninja41 ZX-7R and its exotic , limited production sibling , the Ninjall ZX-7RR. At th e heart of this all new pul se-qui ckener is an engine and chass is that not only offers Kawasaki's unique brand of two-wh eel excitement, but does it in a technology-packed manner heretofore unseen in the 750 class. The package of acceleration, handling, and braking offered in the ZX-7R position it as the mount of choice to serious riders for years to come. The new Vulcans for 1996 put together everything we all like about the American cruiser motor . cyc le. They are long, low, and powerful. The engine is the centerpiece. It sparkles with polished aluminum and chrome. The sound is deep and throaty , a muted roar reminding the rider and every• one within hearing that the Vulcan is here. These motorcyc les are about attracting attention. They look good, they sound good, and they perform like a motorcycle should: good low end, lots of torque, and great throttle response. If turning onlookers ' heads was ever part of the motorcyc list's raison d'etre then the exhibI, tionist lurking in every new or experienced rider will get its day with Kawasaki's introducti on of the Vulcan tv BOO Classic. This " looker" follows in the footsteps of last year's Vulcan BOO debut, and shares much of the technology and performance characteristics built into that model. While the orig inal edition of this four-stroke V-Twin certainly doesn't skimp in the style department, it doesn't offer the same throwback appeal that the Classic embodies. The new entry strives to capture the hard-core cruise r style, yet spikes the experience with an undeniable link to the heritage of American motorcycling.
