Peculis picked his way th ou gh th e pack , m o vin g into fourth place on the fou rth lap , and, less tha n a mile from the finish, he flew by Levesq ue to tak e third pl ace overall . Levesque fini s hed in fou r th. Mad ore and Halligan battled it out till the end with Madore getti ng the upper hand for fifth. Earli er in the day, the Junior and Nov ice ev en ts we re held. The Junior, Mini, Women 's race took pl ace at 8:30 am. They ran thr ee lap s on basically the sam e track bu t one mile shorter. It was Jessie Berth iaume getting the holeshot, bu t Eric Rougeau soon look over the lead, which he held till the end. Berthiaume held onto sec ond place with a comfortable lead over Drew Carpenter. Mi ni r id er Nathan Kanney took th e Mini-class win with a 3D-second cushion over Mik e Perist ere. Once again, Michelle Mckinn on ruled the Women 's class.
