Team Yamaha's D amon Bradshaw was foreed to
srt out th e (nain event at Denver aft er injuring his
foo t earlier In t he day during practice . Bradshaw
smashed his foot into the face .of a jump, poss ibly
breaking a couple of his toes. Bradshaw iced his foo t
right up to the start of the evening's program . tried
to squeeze his foot rt the boot. but the pain was just
too much. It is not known yet ~ he'll be able to cornpete at next week 's Moun t Morri s National.

pit s that wa s followed by a decidedly relaxed and
les s-th an-forma l ceremo ny, hosted by announcer
Larry Naston , whe re the top 20 series finisher were
awarded their cash earnings from the $100,000
points fund. Of course McGrath took home the
lion' s share of the purse for his efforts, taking home '
$15:000 , Je ff Emig', wh o fin ished s eco nd in th e
. series. pocketed $ 12,000, and Ezra Lusk , third in
the series , walked off with $10 .000 .
