Lipe rt dominated Vinta ge One racing, den ying Raymond Carter's eve ry attem pt at the number-one position . Carter pla yed his cards righ t and stayed in front of the dice for third, which was won by Richard Miles. Lipe rt went on to play his ha nd at racing up a class in Vintage Tw o an d ca me up with an e ther win, making a pair of firsts for the weekend. Scan Dwyer grabbed a second after suffering a bad sta rt. Carter, also racing up a class, held on to thi rd . The we e kend ' s fi rs t ace, Exp ert Th o ma s D'Ett orre, scored the Vintage Five win after dicing with Steven Von Bor st a l, w ho fin ished a close seco nd . Stephen Footes carded third. D'Ett orre ra ised the stakes when he raced up a class in Vintage Six, an d wo n. Thi s tim e he was followed by Joel Raffensberger and Foote. The weekend's seco nd wild card showed up in the Superb ike No vice 0 co mpe tition, when Christian Eklun d show ed the res t of the field the fast way around the trac k. Piece Duchene took second ah ead of Alan Savoy. The Form ula Two Novice class sa w Eklund snag anothe r first . Ming Quang Le took second, wi th Kevin Crisler thi rd. William Lindsay, the wee kend's seco nd ace. took first in the Supe rstock C Expert class. Following Lindsay were Evan Semo ff and Scott Harw ell. Lind s a y and Se m o ff s q u a re d o ff in the Supers tock Expe rt A class . Scmoff made a d rama tic att empt exiting: tum seve n of the last lap but was unable to match Lindsay's drive. Costello pi cked up a third. Another ace on the weekend was Jeff Atwen, who pi cked up wins in Heavyw eight Solo racing an d one in the Supe rbike Expert B class. The wee kend 's fina l wild ca rd came up in the Clu bman Nov ice class . Matt hew Tennenbaum stayed in front of ligh tni ng-fast Michael Lighton. William Alston sho wed up for a third .
