Brewer cam e back in the second moto to make it a clean sweep of 250cc A racing, Scott Shipley took secon d overa ll. as well as cleaning house in both the Ove r 25 and Ove r 30 A clas ses, Shipley is 35 yea rs old a nd gets faster every yea r. H elm e ve nt ually sepa ra ted him self from McCann while in search of lead er Keith, who by the midway stages had built u p a cozy lead, one he wo uld maintain to the finish. Helm secured secon d p lace, w hile a battle for th ird between McCain, Derda, Klum and Ingle was shapin g up in McCann 's favor. McCann , however, lost two position s on the final lap to both Klum, who inh erited third , and Derd a, the four th-place fini sher.
