PAVERNE, SWITZERLAND, APR. 21
ebastien Tortelli put his first -round
blues behind him to show why he
is th e favorite for the Worl d 125cc
Motocross crown, with two overwhe lming victori es at the classic CombremontIe-Petit track in eastern Switzerland .
Even during qualifying, the French
17-year-old was 2.5 seco nd s a lap faste r
than anyone else, and he strolled to victory by 20 and 35 seconds in th e tw o
races, respectively.
It wa s almost a French festival with
o nly Brit Paul Malin preventing th em
from sw eeping the top five in each race,
while th e Italians, so dominant on the
less demanding track in their ho mela nd
o ne w e ek ea r li er, were never in the
hunt.
Cha m pions hip lead er Massimo Bar_

dis locating a shou lder in practice.
