By Kyle Myers DADE CITY, FL, MAR. 24 ju st u nder 300 riders co mp eted in the fou rt h roun d of the Yama ha Sunshine State Motocross Series at Dade City Racew ay where Ho nda pilot j.B. Ballard topped both mo los of the SOcc (1215) divi sion to score the overa ll win . In the opening SOcc(12-15) moto Pa ul Perebijnos jumped out to the early lead with Ballard, Larsson, Hadse ll, Ryan Davis and jos h Faustino givi ng cha se. Ballard and Hadsell both moved by Perebi jno s to ba tt le for the point po sition. Hadse ll then fell, giving Ballard a h uge lead as Davis and Faustino slipped by to run in the second a nd thi rd pla ce. Hadsell worked hi s way back into second, but by th e lime the whi te nag came out , Ballard on h is Honda West/Performa nce Engineering /No Limit machine easily won the first mota wit h Had sell, Dav is, Faus tino an d Pe rebi jnos rounding out the top five sp ots. Ballard charged into turn one to start the second mot a wi th Hadsell, Perebijno s, Davis and Fau stino following. Davis and Faus tino the n tangled on the first circuit with both rid ers hit ling th e deck . Had sell stayed close for tw o lap s before Ballard stepped up the pace and wa lked away from th e field for the mota an d ov erall win . Had sell cru ised hom e in the runner-up spo t wi th Perebijnos, Greg Sabater and Mike Stevenson tra iling in behi nd him. Ballard and Had sell also raced in the Supermini cla ss, where Ba lla rd won the fir s t moto then crashed in the se cond mota, giv ing th e ove rall win to Hadsell. Kenny Yoho returned to racing after a few injuries and swe p t both Pro motos over Todd Gardner a nd Kenny Keylon. Yoho led both motos wire-to-wire as Gardner edged Keylon for second-place mone y.
