The rainy conditions caused. some racers and spectators to leave for hom e early. They missed out on Hayde n winning th ree of his four races. Hayd en con vinc ing ly won the A Superstock, C Superstock, an d C Superbike classes. Yet the best action in volving Hayden came in the one race he d id not win, the B Superstock final. Ray Yoder charged to an early lead , leaving second to be ba ttled for by Hayd e n and Nev il Algie. Both riders were aboard Kawasaki ZX-6Rs. Algie gained th eposition on the final lap for good, with Hayden finishing third. Chad Feltner provided the drama within the Novice d ivision. During the C Production con test Feltn er started from the second wave and ba ttled his way to the front of the pack on three different starts followng two red flags, resul ting in Feliner receiving the checkered flag. There was a close four-w ay battle for second between Paul Sladinski, Ph illip Sheets, Donald Crane, an d John Thrash. Siadinski secured second with Sheets comi ng in third . Clear skies and warm weather for Saturday's 2G-mile Solo eve nts a llowed a faster pace than on Sunday. In the Novice Mcd ium wcig ht Solo 2D-mile event, rider And rew Raff jumped into a commanding lead. By the end of the second lap , Raft had a full-straigh taway advantage. Engine trouble forced Raff out of the race . Derick Young led for tw o laps unti l Jerry Larrigan, Shawn Blackb urn. Ronnie Gra ntham got by him , with Larrig an taking the \~rin .
