Tipping wo n the 125cc A Stock, 250cc A St ock and Modi fied divis io ns while Roja s lopped the 60ce Stock (1(}-J I), 85cc Stock (7-11) and 85cc Modi fied (9-13). In the 125cc A Modified class, lipping battled wi th Kenneth jones in both outings . jones wo n the opening moto with Tipping finishing second. In the second race, jones led u ntil the halfway point as Tipping slipped by before the finish line 10take over the lead. Tipping would cross the finish line first with jones, r at Ready and Rod Furnell rounding out the top four places. Tipping later returned to swee p both 125cc A Stock motos over Fu me ll and joe Beaulieu. Tipping used a 1-2 tally to win the 250cc A St oc k cl ass o ve r Ern ie Mil lan a nd Eu gene Gentsch. Tip ping led start-to-finish in the first moto, while in the second race Millan blasted ou t of the gate an d led wire-to-w ire over Tipping and fast starter Gentseh. Tip ping's only loss on the d ay w as in the 250cc A Mod ified di vision, where Jones topped both motos. Jones led the entire first molo with Tippin g and Furnell follo wing him home.
