There are 32 different age and ability classifications presented for PeeWees up through 125cc and 250cc Pro classes . T GIANT PRO PURSE In addition to the great cash contin.gencies tha t th e factories are offering, NMA awards a $3,000.00 purse to th e p ros covering all four classes av ailable. The pro class at the WMGP has always been the "showcase" for th e up a nd coming pros beginning with Jeff Ward and up through McGrath, .Win d ham , Hu ffman and other prominent rid ers on . the nati ona l scene. FACTORY CONTINGENCIES Over $50,000 is being offered by the four major motorcycle factories for the va rio us classe s a nd th is yea r KTM is again joining the award program w ith US Savings Bond awa rds fo r th e Pee Wee Stock classes. KTM will award a total of $3,700 in bond s to th e li ttles t racers as ed uca tiona l aw ard s for th ose fin ishi ng in the to p five of each class ' r idi ng t h e new KTM 50SX or KTM 50SXR. In addition, the top aftermarket compa nies are involved with the World Min i Gra nd Pr ix, a wa rd ing products a nd su pporti ng NMA's racing ac tivities. Gates will open at noon on Thu rsday, April I I , allowing the sea o f motorhomes, vans, trucks .and displays into the pa rk. Post en tries will be taken between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM])tursday for those who have not mailed in their entries a nd again on Friday m orn in g between 6:30 and 8:00 AM. On Friday morning at 8:30 AM, p ractice will begin for all classes and run thro ugh their conclusion. After practice, the first half o f the events in the first moto will be run . Racing will contin ue on Saturday beginning at 7:00 AM w ith the completion of the first mo tos; after a short b reak in th e racing, the second motos w ill begin . Th e Saturd ay act ivities will conclude in time to allow everyone to enjoy all the exciting nighttime Las Vegas activities. Sund ay, the completion of all secon d m otes, along with cha mp ionship ru n offs will be followed by the award s presentatio n for all participants.
