The factory KTM ridden by Kevin Crine boasted K-Style graphics which were, in fact, different than stock, bu t the Austrian machines still had a rather stock appearance. Two privateer tearns were parked in the main pit area - the Xtreme /PJl/Atomic 22/Burnsville Yam aha squad , and the Chaparral team. Th e Xtreme Yama has ridden by jimmy Button, Co ry Keeney, Sha un Kalos and Alex McElyea use stock plastic, bu t ha ve bl ack and fluorescent -yellow graphics. Butto n says that the team plan s to have black fuel tanks and radiator shrouds in the future . The Chaparral squad use three different brands - Larry Brooks races a Yamaha, Brian Deegan rides a Honda and Greg Schnell will compete aboard Suzukis on the West Coast 125cc Series. All three m achines will use all-wh ite plastic, and red, yellow and wh ite Pro's Choice gra ph ics. Here' s a look at th e m achines themselves, as 1":\ well as the "Big Fou r" factory teams. Th e fac t o ry Suz u ki team bikes r id de n b y Mi ke Greg La Roc co , Albertyn, Ti m Ferry and Ezra Lu sk boast an almo st all-yellow color scheme. The stock wh ite fron t number plate and purple radiator sh rouds have been replaced by yellow pieces, and black, yellow and white N-Style gr aphics and sea t covers complete the look. Joining Team Kaw asaki in the radical end of the spectru m is Team SplitFire / Pro Circuit /Kawasaki. Mickael Pichon' s KXl25 was a wo rk of art to some, bu t an eyesore to ot hers. A fluo rescent-green rear fender, side panels and frame were mated with a chrome front fende r and radiator shrouds. Throttle Jockey graphics and a color-coordinated MXA sea t cover tied the two "colors" toget her, while black anod ized rims gave the bike a unique appearance. The Honda of Troy bikes d rew a lot of attentio n, as the mach ines that Larry Ward, Brian Swink, Mike Brown an d Mike Cra ig ra ced had a mu ch bo lder look for '96 . Whil e last year's HoT bikes were rath er p lain, this year's machines feature a red , wh ite and black color scheme that inclu des the Hon da of Troy Drago n. The N-Style graphics are m ated to a newsty le N-Sty le sea t, which actu ally h as side p anels made of the same type of vin yl used for the radiator shroud graphics. The 40mm vinyl cover h as sublimated graphics that tie in with the rest of the bike.
