From the first lap, . he's fast, and on the last lap he's going just as fast. I slow down. I just don't hang as tough as he does. If I trained somewhat more, then I probably could, but I just go at my own pace. Racing is a lot of mind over matter, and I can deal with a lot of it that way. I get a Jot of'riding in too, but I'm more relaxed on the motorcycle. I get more worn out in the heat races than I do in a 25-lap main event. I feel tense (in the heat _. race) because I have to go out and do good right away. 1 don't want to have to go through tha t semi.
