CT\ CT\ .-I 0\ C'l Rausch runs away with Suffol.k Meadows Motocross By Jim and Carolyn Simpson l-< Q.I "E Q.I :> o Z 40 YAPliANK, NY, NOV. 5 Mike Rausch ran IlWllY with both motos to claim the overall win in the Schoolboy class during motocross action at the Suffolk Meadows racetrack. . This race kicked off the first of three races in the faU series presented by lsland Motocross of New York under the direction of joe Merrill. Rausch grabbed the holeshot 10 start mota one. Denis Sorrentino and KershaJ Anthony chased the leader Raush into the supercross section. The lead Suzuki trio set the early pace until Rausch twisted the wick and began 10 pull away, leaving a side-by-side battle between Sorrentino and Anthony for second-place honors. Anthony made his move and secured second, dropping Sorrentino to third place. Rausch maintained a faster pace and pulled away for a comfortable mota win. Anthony held on to take second and Sorrentino trailed in third. Rausch ripped into the lead as the gate dropped for mota two. Anthony and Sorrentino chased, but Rausch was on a mission to win and by the end of lap one Raush had a full straightaway lead. Positions remained unchanged throughout the mota as Rausch on his Oakdale Cyclel Axo/Renthal-backed S\.lZllki claimed the final mota and the overall win.
