Handlebar-mounting kits and upper triple clamps for all '96 MXers are now available in either standard or Answet Pro Taper versions. The kits offer two handlebar-mounting positions, and are CNC-machined .from 7075 _ billet aluminum. The covers are manufactured of a carbon-fiber woven material and feature an electrically non-conductive inner liner to prevent premature ignition. Berg says that the covers are one-third lighter than stock units, yet stronger and better in structural design. They are guaranteed not to warp and will not corrode, thus preventing any water, dirt or debris from entering the electronic assembly or causing premature wear of the crank seals.
