week and got a little more power out of it, which I think showed today. Just have to go next week and win. We'll see where Steve (Dresser) ends up!" The 540cc class had their worK cut out for them as they had to run back-toback with their two climbs. Hailing from Madison, West Virginia, Scott McNeely started the class with a 6.0795 run. McNeely returned and beat his own time with a 5.7959, but it wasn't enough to elevate him from his fifth-place finish. Soter had a solid first run of 5.8067, but, like McNeely, he too improved his time on his second try, clocking a 5.7189. Soter placed low at Middlebury and threw both rides away at the last round at Jefferson, so his poor showing in the second half of the season has given the current champion, Paul Pinsonnault, a clear shot at the '95 season championship. "Good day, I guess, a lot better than last week," said the BSA rider. "Not so much the spills but with the no points (last week), I saw the championship flip right out from under me as the bike sailed away there at Jefferson, Pennsylvania. It's history now, as they say." . Pinsonna ult pu this number-oneplate holder against the log twice, completing both rides with solid times. His first run of 5.8442 seconds was improved in the second round to 5.5261. Pinsonnault's efforts secured second place, as the passive rider talked about the day's event and its outcome: "My first run I wanted to make a nice clean run and make sure that I didn't have any big boo-boos, like anything to hurt me in the points. I'm racing for the championship right now so my second run I knew I wouldn't get beat by too many people and I'd be close to Rick (Soter) and I ended up pretty close to Ted (Wilkins)." Rotax-mounted Wilkins wheelied his first ride after he came off the first kicker. The Canadian still impressed with a 5.5688. His return offered a less than showy approach but yielded a superfast 5.3760-second run - and the third National win for the smiling Canadian. "First one I thought maybe I could hold it on flat out over that first part," related Wilkins of his opening shot at the hill. "I couldn't and it did a wheelie and I lost time. Second run I just had to keep in on the ground, keep the power to the ground, and it worked." With his firstplace finish, Wilkins moves to third in the points battle behind Pinsonnault and Soter on 122 points. David Watson finished today in sixth place and is now fourth in points with 121. ex Carolina H-D Dealers Association Asheville, North Carolina Results: Sept. 30, 1995 (Round 12 of 13) PISTONS PW50 VZ80 VZl25 VZ250 1986-95-...•....•...$20.62 1986-9S $36.00-56.25 1986·95 $30.37·46.87 1986-95 $32.62-49.50 RINGS PWSO VZ80 VZl25 VZ250 1986-95 $11.85 1986·95 $7.20·9.75 1886·95 $6.60·7.50 1986-95•...$25.50·33.37 TOP END GASKETS PWSO VZ80 VZ80 VZ125 VZ125 VZ250 VZ2SO 1986-95 $14.70 1986·92 .......•$16.95 1993·95 $7.99 1986·93 $10.72 1992·95 $8.06 1986-87 $14.59 1988-95 $10.27 CLUTCH CABLES VZ80 VZ125 VZ2SO 1986-95 $12.15-12.SO 1986-95.•.•..$11.55-13.80 1986-95.•.•.•..$9.75-11.55 FORK SEALS VZ80 VZl25 VZ250 1986-95 $5.40-7.95 1986-95-.•..$5.10-10.20 1986-95•.....$5.10-10.20 1986·95 1986-95 1986-95 $6.45·8.70 $7.20-11.10 $7.80-13.65 METAL CLUTCH PLATES VZ80 VZ125 VZ250 1986-.95 1986·95 1986·95 $9.30 $5.21-9.00 $4.35·8.25 SHIFT LEVERS VZSO VZ125 VZ250 1986·95 $19.87 1986·95 $33.00 1986-95 543.87-47.62 FRONT BRAKE PADSISHOES PWSO VZ80 VZ125 VZ250 1986·95 1986-95 1986-95 1986-95 $5.10·11.40 $24.71·38.62 $23.15-55.12 $23.15-55.12 REAR BRAKE PADSISHOES PWSO VZSO VZ125 VZ250 1986-95.•...$5.10-11.40 1986-95 $6.30-39.00 1986-95_••..$10.80-44.40 1986-95_ $10.80-44.40 THROTTLE CABLES PWSO VZ80 VZ125 1986-95 $9.15 1986·95 $11.40 1986·95 $10.05-12.73 1986-95 $10.05-13.35 VZ250 FRONT BRAKE LEVERS PWSO VZ80 VZl25 1986·95 _ $5.70 1986·95 $9.56 1986·95 $9.56·13.35 1986·95 $9.56·13.35 VZ250 CLUTCH LEVERS PWSO VZ80 VZl25 VZl25 1986-95 $6.45 1986-95 ......••.$11.10 1986·93 $6.45 1984·95 $11.10 1986-93 $10.05-13.35 1994-95.........•..•...$11.10 VZ250 VZ250 THOUSAND OAKS YAMAHA WORKS GRAPHICS ... ~.I'~ FROII ~:X::.A..
