Have Dinner in VEGAS
with the BEST RIDERS on EARTH!
"Mathematically, I'm still alive,"
added Summers of the tiUe possibilities.
"I just need to win the last two races and
that's what I'm going to work hard to
do."
''I'm really glad to be in the top three
for a change," said Conner. "I was waiting to catch my second wind and go
after those guys up front, but I think I
used it all up at the beginning. I'd like to
be in a little bit better shape because the
pace for the top three guys is a lot different than it is back in fifth or sixth. They
start going for it with an hour left!"
Conner ended up finishing about two
and one half minutes behind Summers,
while West Virginia's own Blackwell
checked in just two seconds after Conner.
"I was pretty consistent and I'm
happy about that," said Blackwell. "The
track was really good and tight. I don't
know if it's because we rode before the
quadcycJes or just the way the land is
here, but this was definitely my kind of
track."
'Tm pretty excited about my
results," said Brian Keegan; who has
wrapped up the 250cc A title. "I've
been training more and riding almost
every day. It's just starting to come
together for me now. If 1 can get in a
little better shape I can hopefully be up
there wi th Scott and Fred and those
guys."
