In the grueling
heat on Saturday,
but managed a
pair of sixths.

"1 rode a lot better today," said
Aaron. "I knew what 1 had to do, and 1
was a lot more focused. 1 didn't have a
minder through a lot of Saturday's
event becasue he couldn't keep up with
me, but today 1 had someone with me
the whole time. I had one guy who just
carried water 50 1 wouldn't dehydrate
again."
"1 was hoping to win," said Young.
"That way, 1could have gone to Oregon
just to have fun. 1 made a few dumb
mistakes that cost me the win."
"My arm was sore today and 1 had
some stupid mistakes," said Clamagirand.
Kempkes was again fourth, coming
home with 81 marks. He was, however,
late into the pits and incurred 8.5 time
penalty points.
"1 took too long on the first loop,"
said Kempkes. "I felt better today,
though. 1 wasn't as sore."
Peters and Hallsted were fifth and
sixth, while Canadian Ryon Bell earned
seventh.
