He won all four of his motos with huge leads, even in the mud. In the 85cc Stock (14-15) class Yamaha riders Monte Montague and Kelly Smith, from Nevada and Michigan, respectively, gave chase after Suzuki's Jacob Martin spent most of the first moto with his bike stuck in a mudhole. Martin came back for second in the final moto, but Montague and Smith were second and third overall. Martin got Some redemption for himself in the 8Sec Modified moto, finishing second both times to Carmichael. Michigan's Randy Valade was third (5-3) and Florida's August Lausberg was fourth some drastic measures. The 32-year-old tried to double-jump his way out of the huge camelback section and ended up crashing himself out of the race. "I was trying to clear the camelback jump and I missed," explained Liles, who ended up with a serious black eye and numerous cuts and scrapes.
