Sign· Schnells fast at Perris MX By Tony Alessi PERRIS, CA. JULY 22 The Schnell brother.;, Greg and Eric, teamed up and dominated the racing action in both the Pro and Intermediate classes during round three of the GR Win a Truck night series held at Perris Raceway. Greg Schnell is making quite a name for himself as was evident by his aggressive riding during both 125cc Pro races. Schnell battled with Spud Walters for the better part of the two races, but Schnell's main opposition was nol Walter.; - or any of the other Pros, for that matter. Instead, it was the Intermediate riders who started on the second gate. Schnell had to deal with these backmarkers in each moto and lapped nearly half of them en route to his decisive victories. Greg's younger brother, Eric, handled the Intermediate ranks by posting an awesome fourmolo sweep of both 125 and 250cc Intermediate classes. Schnell's speed was unequa, led as he topped Gabe Bolivar and Jiri Dostal in the 125cc class and Jerry Aleman and Dave Faerier in the Jim Sisemore (lett) dices with Bob Hicks (right) at Fast Fridays' Auburn Speedway. Sisemore doubles up at Auburn Speedway By Gen Moore AUBURN, CA, JULY 21 Jim Sisemore scored victories in both the Handicap and Scratch main events at the Gold Country Fairgrounds. Chad Felicio, the only rider not starting from the 5(}-yard line, led the Handicap main event until the white-flag lap. Bart Bast, Louis Kossuth, Jim Sisemore, Bob Hicks and Bob Hedden all came off the 50 like a pack of hungry lions in search of prey. Sisemore and Hedden rode side by side for most of the race and were soon at the front of the pack chasing the leader. Bast and Hicks held down the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. Down the back straight on the last lap, Sisemore used the inside line and powered past felicia to steal the win, but Hedden had to wait until the last comer to get by after Felicio made a slight bobble and dropped to third. Bast, Sisemore, Hicks and Hedden would go at it again when they lined up for the Scratch main. The race was almost a rematch of the Handicap main as Hedden, Sisemore and Bast went three abreast into the first corner, with Hicks bringing up the rear. Hedden got a great drive, came out in first place and continued to lead for two more laps. But as the rider.; crossed the line in a bunch on lap three, Hedden suddenly held up his hand to signal that his motor had quit. Sisemore took over and led the rest of the way while Hicks passed Bast for second. £N Results HDCP: 1. Jim Si"emore craw); 2. Bobby H«Iden OIlW); 3. Chad Felicio OIlW); 4. Burt BasI (Jaw); 5.
