Centofanti and Rogers. Honda-mounted Rogers immediately whacked the throttl.. wide open, disposing of Centofanti and Hearn. The tandem Rogers and Cook battled side by side, only separated when Rogers launched one of many failed attacks that resulted in Cook opening a gap that was quickly closed. Rogers completed his task shortly before the white flag, blowing by Cook and exploding to a five-second margin of victory. Moto two was a near duplicate of the first, with Cook displaying his holeshot prowess and Rogers shooting to third around the first tum. Rogers proved faster exiting the choppy pondhairpin-downhill-jump combo, and the rutted, rough back strillght where he executed a last-lap "scary" pass.
