Centofanti and Rogers. Honda-mounted Rogers
immediately whacked the throttl.. wide open,
disposing of Centofanti and Hearn.
The tandem Rogers and Cook battled side by
side, only separated when Rogers launched one
of many failed attacks that resulted in Cook
opening a gap that was quickly closed. Rogers
completed his task shortly before the white flag,
blowing by Cook and exploding to a five-second
margin of victory.
Moto two was a near duplicate of the first,
with Cook displaying his holeshot prowess and
Rogers shooting to third around the first tum.
Rogers proved faster exiting the choppy pondhairpin-downhill-jump combo, and the rutted,
rough back strillght where he executed a last-lap
"scary" pass. Rogers sizzled to a three-second
moto victory for the overall.
