August 20 World Championship 125cc Motocross Series Round 10: French GP Down to five A CASTELNAU DE LEVIS. FRANCE, JULY 9 lessandro Puzar's once seemingly unassailable 50-point advantage in the World 125cc MX series was reduced to just five points after his second disastrous GP in the space of eight days. As in San Marino the previous weekend, Alessio Chiedi was the overall winner at Castelnau de Levis in southwestern France with a 37-point score. Puzar had restricted his losses in the opening moto with third place to Choidi's win, but a first-lap DNF wrecked his hopes in race two. Jimmy Button was fifth overall from 7-6 moto finishes, but dropped a place in the stanctings to Claudio Federici. Swiss Philippe Dupasquier did just enough to edge out Charrel Sweebe for the 15th and final free air tickets and freight to the Indonesian GP, the next race on the schedule. Any decision on the p0sitive fuel test of Dave Strijbos at the English GP in June cannot affect this position but the exclusion of Strijbos would reduce the gap at the head of the table from five points to four, so the hearing will now have to take place before the series finale in Gennany on August 13. 0 French GP W'ERA National E';durance Round (5).
