made a last-lap pass, to l.ake the Handicap win.
At the white flag. "Biff" Wazynski had the lead
with Reynolds trying to pass Busler on the
inside for second. Reynolds had charged up
from the 6O-yard line and didn't want to scrap
a podium finish with a crash, so he backed off
as Busler closed the gap on the leader in tum
one. The top three charged out of turn four
together with Busler going to the outside of
Wazynski to take the victory while Reynolds,
unable to move on Wazynski from the insidel
finished third.
l.n flat-track action, Greg Kaminski was the
class of the Youth field on his Suzuki. Kaminski
topped both heat and feature action. In full-size
action, Dan Reed did the same, but not without
incident. Reed slid down in turn four on the
first lap of the main event ";ith his brother
James right behind him. James Reed had no
time to react and tagged Dan Reed square in
the back of the helmet. After shaking out a few
cobwebs, Dan Reed was back for the restart
and led flag to flag with Alan Vangunten l.aking over second.

Weiss began the day with a win in the Middleweight Superbike class after a race-long battle with Yamaha YZF rider Donnie Hough.
Hough was away with a great start while Weiss,
Terry Hamish, Brian Chesser and Rob Nellor all
fought for the second spot. Hough had a slight
lead as Weiss started to break away from the
battle for second and make up lost ground.
At the halfway point of the race Weiss was
now on Hough's rear fender while ZX-6Rmounted Brian Chesser was getting the best of
the dogfight for third. Weiss then made his
move with two laps to go, gelling by Hough at
the sl.art/finish line. Weiss powered on to the
win with Hough and Chesser filling the place
and show positions.
.
Win number two for Weiss came in the Middleweight Supersport race, and again the competition came from Hough, Chesser and the
h.acd-riding Brandon Welton. Hough once again
got the holeshot and led the pack into turn one
as Weiss, Hamish, Welton and Nellor followed.
Weiss wasted no time in getting by Hough
before the completion of lap two and stretching
his lead to the. end. Welton and Hamish both
moved up to ch.allenge Hough. Welton first got
by Hamish, and then on the same lap passed
Hough. But Weiss was too far gone for Welton
to make a run for the lead, and Welton settled
for second with. Hough, Chesser and Nellor
completing the top five.
