The battle between Derrick and Blomdahl for the lead carried them over 10 seconds ahead of Orr. Derrick turned up the throttle a notch and was able to pull out a 3-second advantage on Blomdahl in the last two laps to grab the first-mota win. Orr came across the finish line a distant third with Ryan Walters and Joe Barker rounding out the top five. Moto two got underway with Orr leading the pack through the first tum, followed by Barker, Blomdahl and Derrick. Blomdahl made hjs intentions clear by relieving Orr of the top spot within the first few tums. Barker shot past Orr and into second, but was no match for the disappearing Blomdahl. Derrick dove underneath Orr to push him back another position and, half a lap later, did the same to Barker to take over the runner-up spot. Blomdahl's seemingly comfortable six-second lead was quickly being eaten up by Derrick, and by. the halfway point, Derrick was in Blomdahl's shadow and looking for a way into the lead. As in the first moto, the two front-runners' pace had allowed them to pull well clear of a good battle for third between Barker and Orr. Derrick was all over Blomdahl and with the white flag being displayed, was running out of lime. Derrick squared off under Blomdahl at the end of a straight and came out of the comer side-by-side with Blomdahl. Blomdahl held the inside line into the following tum, where he came over on Derrick and drove him up to the top of the berm for the block.Blomdahl shot back down the berm and again into the lead. Derrick gave it everything he had but came up a bikelength short to Blomdahl when the checkers fell. The battle for third lasted the entire race, with Orr making the pass on Barker on the final lap to wrap up third overall. Results (Suz); 3. Juon l'artridg< 1Suzl. 250 B MOO: 1. Pat Fo5tu (Kaw); 2.
