(Left) lloyd Morgan (H1) cla imed the
Expert win by two minutes at the Red
Rive r Cross Country. (Above) Ricky
Winsett Jr . (11A) leads the 600Cc Pro pack
off a tu m at Trail-Way Speedway. Winsett •
Jr. topped the class fo llowed by Ken
Yoder (96A) and Gary Clark (22A).
The decid ing pass came as Hi1lhouse outbraked Butler afte r crossing a long field. It was
one line in the woods until the last 50 yards to
the finish. Butler came up a foot short to the win ner Hillhouse after a failed, desperation pass.
The Women's class ran with the minis at
noon and Mary Ballard was off on her own. Ballard led both laps of the Women 's Expert class,
bu t began to tire on the extremely rough Red
River circuit. Ca thy Craig's second lap charge
was not enou gh as Ballard beat her to the line by
a few seconds.
