On Saturday, June 3rd, Danny Hamel rode his last motorcycle race.
He was tragically killed at the start of the Baja 500. .
This is for those of you who may have read about Danny's accomplishments
in Cycle News but may not know anything about Danny as a person.
You may know that he had won several Hare & Hound Championships, Bajas,
IS DE Gold Medals, Best In the Desert Series, Adelanto GP's, District Series,
Virginia City GP's and more; Danny the racer was as great as they come.
Danny the person was even greater. Throughout his travels he made friends
wherever he went. From the first moment we met Danny we became
the best of friends. He had that effect on everyone he met.
Danny's life was cut way too short and he will be missed by everyone,
but he was a racer at heart and he left us doing what he loved -
going wide-open on a bike.
So, for those of you who only knew Danny as a racer, be inspired
by his accomplishments. For those of you who also knew Danny as a person,
you can cherish the memories, laugh about them and talk about them with friends
and he will always be with you in your heart.
We love you Danny,
Your Friends at Pro Circuit
