controlling the race from
the front even though
Sam Lowes (22) closed
to within striking distance
on the final lap. Joe
Roberts (16) rode with a
cool head—he didn't have
the pace of Bastianini
but kept round-one
winner Luca Marini under
control to take his maiden
podium. In the world
standings, Bastianini
takes command at 73
points to Marini's 58 and
Nagashima's 55. Roberts
hoists himself to eighth
with 29 points.
