After a tim e, tho ugh, the bu lk of the trai l d ried out from U5C and very good raci ng conditions prevailed. on the challenging but ridable circuit Leivan had his VZ250 on the pipe righ t from the beginning an d never let off as he started his quest for overall honors from row 64. Leivan zeroed the short loop which included a short 24mph section that would have worked very ·well for a national trials event. 11Us section proved to be Wa ller's downfall when he tangled with a fallen ride r in thi s section , costing h im one poi nt , and ultima tely the overall. Leivan continu ed to ze ro th e co u rse th ro ugh check eig ht dropping po ints at check nine and check eleven, ending the d ay with the low score of five.
