con tinuing bat tle for the $1000 Shootout bragging rights to the line for the second time in the
last few months d uri ng the Florida Series road
races at Moroso Motarsports Park.
After a race long battle, Ash mead edged

laps to go on th e 2.25-miIe co u rse. Bowman,

they approached the start/ finish line Bowman
slipped out of Ashmead's draft for a pass. but it
was to 'no avai l.

hampered by a gro und wire that wa s shorting
out and ca using a sligh t loss in power, Ashmead managed to hold on with Shaw right on
his rear wht.ocl as they crossed the stripe.
